Memory Foam Mattresses
What is memory foam?
Since the introduction of memory foam in the early 1990's by the consumer bedding industry it has become one of the most popular sleep surfaces ever invented.
Originally developed by NASA engineers in the late 1970's to reduce pressure during space travel. It began to be applied to the medical industry for therapeutic properties shortly after.
Because of its unique moulding characteristics and therapeutic healing power it has been hailed by sports therapists, chiropractors and even world renowned athletes.
How Does Memory Foam Shape Up
A slow recovery foam often described as “memory” foam, readily responds to heat because of its energy absorbing and temperature sensitivity, moulding perfectly around the source of compression.
Regardless of the weight, the foam spreads evenly and distributes pressure by increasing the surface area and so the pressure is reduced to an absolute minimum.
